Cookies and analytics

Perspective Works uses cookies and browser storage to provide secure sign-in and private Home Guide access, keep a Home Guide or Property Concierge conversation coherent, measure basic first-party use of property and Agent Pages, and understand use of its public website through Google Analytics. We do not use Meta Pixel, session replay or cross-site behavioural advertising.

Authentication and private-access cookies

Signed-in agent and staff workspaces use secure, HttpOnly cookies to complete authentication, maintain a revocable session and coordinate sign-out. Authentication-flow cookies are short-lived and agent or staff application sessions last no more than seven days. A buyer’s private Home Guide uses a separate secure, HttpOnly, revocable cookie that expires no later than the stated access period. A new browser must verify access through a fresh one-time email link.

Browser session storage

Home Guide and Property Concierge use browser-tab session storage for a random conversation identifier, first-use privacy-notice state and Recent Topics in that tab, including the questions and displayed answers needed to reopen a topic. The fictional Concierge demo also uses a random session identifier. This information stays in the current browser-tab session, disappears when the tab session ends and is not an advertising identifier.

First-party analytics

Perspective Works records property and Agent Page views to provide basic service analytics and protect the service. A view may include the page, time, referral context, browser information and a protected salted hash derived from an IP address. Raw first-party view events are retained for 12 months and then deleted or irreversibly aggregated.

Google Analytics

On public marketing, property, Agent Page, Home Guide, demo and legal pages, Google Tag Manager loads Google Analytics 4. Google Analytics uses a first-party _ga identifier to distinguish browser sessions and may receive page, referral, approximate location, browser, device and limited interaction information. Perspective Works does not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, enquiry text or Home Guide question and answer text to Google Analytics. Google may process analytics information outside Canada. Protected agent and staff workspaces, private Home Guides, login flows and publication previews do not load Google Tag Manager.

Your choices

Perspective Works does not show a separate analytics consent banner. You can block or delete cookies using your browser settings and may use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent sign-in or private Home Guide session continuity.
